The Faculty of Pharmacy, in accordance with the prevailing spirit at the University of Coimbra, highlights the knowledge, through different research units and an effort of international scientific cooperation.
The Center for Pharmaceutical Studies (CEF), a multidisciplinary center that promotes research in strategic areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences, contributes, for example, to the development of new substances and drugs and to the research in innovative and potential fields, as in the case of medicinal plants.
However this work is complemented by the research work conducted at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra (CNC), the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the 20th Century (CEIS20) and the Coimbra Chemistry Center (CQ).
