Arriving at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra
a. Relevant information as well your registration confirmation in University of Coimbra (making your name to appear under every curricular unit) will be provided in your scheduled meeting at Casa da Lusofonia, so you must contact the International Divisions Unit and make an appointment.
b. Please look up at the Faculty of Pharmacy website (https://www.uc.pt/ffuc/academicos/info_avisos) so you can organize (you may need to make changes) your studies plan avoiding incompatibilities;
c. Registration in practical classes (whenever appear PL or TP after course name) is mandatory whilst for theorical classes there is no need to register as one class takes place only;
d. Some classes (PL or TP) are available only upon your registration in Serviços Académicos located in the opposite building to Faculty of Pharmacy (see below);
e. If for any reason you cannot set up your time table (e.g. meeting at Casa da Lusofonia schedule takes place later than classes starting, curricular unities sobreposition, waiting for home Erasmus coordinator agreement regarding changes, etc ) you better attend classes you may have on mind as long you explain to teaching staff your pending situation;f. Some subjects you may have chosen belonging to Specific Masters (Applied Pharmacology, Clinical Analysis, Drug Design and Development, Food Safety, Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicine Technologies, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) will start later so their timetable will not be available on the website initially so you better contact the respective Master Coordinator;
g. Some subjects you may have chosen belonging to Specific Masters (e.g. Masters in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, among other) take place in after-work hours, predictably on the same days, usually on Friday and Saturday, following a modular regime. Also, the evaluation is performed in specific schedules, so you better contact the respective Master Coordinator.
h. If you have amendments in your learning agreement to be made you can change it up to one month after your arrival in Coimbra and you need to contact your Home Erasmus Coordinator to confirm any changes you may need before ask the Incoming Erasmus Coordinators (Prof. António Ribeiro or Prof. Carla Vitorino).
i. Be aware most of the courses at Faculty of Pharmacy of Coimbra are taught in Portuguese.
j. A welcome session for Erasmus Students is usually scheduled at the beginning of every academic year (timely announced to the Erasmus Students) so a full "package" information will be provided by both Incoming Erasmus coordinators (Prof. António Ribeiro or Prof. Carla Vitorino).
k. Pay attention to the deadlines of the UC, since they could not be the same of your home institution.
