CEIS20 researcher premieres creative project on music for film with Arditti Quartet

The CEIS20 researcher Daniel Moreira, affiliated to the Group Artistic Currents and Intellectual Movements, premieres a show with music of his own authorship, with the interpretation of the Arditti Quartet. It is a film-concert, in which a Portuguese silent movie from 1922, recently restored by Cinemateca Portuguesa, will be presented, with a new soundtrack that our researcher composed for a string quartet. This is an artistic project, in which his approach to the music for this film is closely linked to his general research (more theoretical and analytical) on the relationship between music and cinema that he has been developing at CEIS20.

Besides this premiere show, there will be another presentation in Lisbon, at Culturgest.
