Half a million euros to innovate in the treatment of coronary heart disease
New image biomarkers to improve the treatment of coronary heart disease, which is one of the main causes of death worldwide, will be developed as part of a project led by ICNAS-P.

A consortium led by ICNAS-Produção (coordinated by Doctor Maria João Vidigal), a company from the University of Coimbra (UC), obtained half a million euros in funding from the COMPETE 2020 program to carry out a research project, entitled “BioImage2CTO”, which aims to develop new image biomarkers to improve the treatment of coronary heart disease, one of the main causes of death worldwide.
