I. PUBLIC POLICIES AND CITIZENSHIP |
The Public Policies and Citizenship line of research comprises oriented
studies for the understanding of the design, implementation and evaluation
processes of public policies in general and of social policies in particular.
The impacts on populations, the way services operate, the development of
conditions and regulations, the new guidelines related to territorialisation,
activation and customisation are aspects that will be prioritised in terms of
research. |
II. DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION |
The Development and Innovation line of
research incorporates research lines associated with (new) perspectives and
practices of integration and of personal, social and economic development in
contemporary societies. It thus seeks to favour research on community
intervention, entrepreneurial initiatives and responses, as well as on
unexplored fields and innovative
integration and development practices, such as transition movements, exchange
economy, co-operative economy, self-sustaining communities, among others. |
III. RESPONSIBILITY AND SOCIAL ETHICS |
The Responsibility and Social Ethics line of research comprises research
work in the area of ethical responsibility and the forms that it can take in
contemporary societies. Therefore, research work on values, representations,
personal involvement practices, such as volunteering, social movements and
quality in service delivery will be favoured. |
IV. SOCIAL INTERVENTION, TRANSFORMATION AND QUALITY |
The Social Intervention, Transformation and
Quality line of research
incorporates research proposals associated with transformations and
potentialities of contemporary social intervention, in particular, new
demographics and new issues, the challenges of working in multidisciplinary
teams, the use of new information and communication technologies in service
provision, among other aspects. |
